Paradise Canyon Elementary is located in the northeastern foothills of La Cañada Flintridge. We are a K-6 school with a current enrollment of over 700 students. Since 1949, Paradise Canyon Elementary School has been an educational community offering exceptional academics in a caring, family oriented environment. Our staff are committed to working alongside families to ensure that each student reaches his or her intellectual, social, ethical, emotional and physical potential.
At PCY, we set our standards high, our expectations strong, and we provide personal support to students along the way. The La Canada Unified School District ranks #2 in the State, and we have been recognized a California Distinguished School in 1998, 2004, 2008, and 2014. With the generous support of the La Canada Flintridge Educational Foundation, our students continue to enjoy smaller class sizes, a comprehensive arts program, physical education daily, and time in the Computer Lab each week. An outstanding faculty and beautiful campus with excellent facilities add to students' overall experience at Paradise Canyon.
School Tours
School Tours for all grades are provided on a regular basis beginning in January. General school information is provided, questions are answered, and parents are guided through classrooms for a quick glimpse with school personnel. Please check the PCY Master Calendar or the LCUSD Calendar for the specific dates and times.
The District Kindergarten Orientation is held in January when general Kindergarten information will be provided by the District, site administrators, and Kindergarten teacher representatives. Additionally, each elementary school site will conduct their own Kindergarten Orientation to provide site specific information in the spring. Please call the office for specific information, dates and times.
